Highlights of the Week (March 11, 2022)

Amidst the ongoing devastation to Ukraine, businesses continue to pull out of Russia. We’re at the point now where it's easier to point out the remaining conglomerates still doing business there (ahem–Nestle). Meanwhile, in the U.S., Russian restaurants are feeling the effect of diner's sanctions while Ukrainian favorite Veselka has become a meeting point for the community and its allies. Moreover, in case we had forgotten that there are multiple ongoing refugee crises, reporting shows that refugees of Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan, who had previously fled to Ukraine, are now fleeing a second time.
