Highlights of the Week (August 27, 2021)

I hope you had a great week balancing melancholy gray skies, a tropical storm named Henri, and blistering heat. Thanks to Henri, we’ve officially achieved one of the wettest NYC summers on record, another damper to our bygone dreams of “hot vax summer.” Still, we hope you’ve been enjoying the summer we’ll all inevitably be telling our grandkids about before we load them onto their auto-piloted school bus descending to a below-ground schoolyard.

• With the recently issued “code red for humanity” in relation to the climate crisis, there's never been a greater need to turn our attention towards solutions (rather than bury them in the sand).
