Happy Friday! Here's a recap of the week before we hit the weekend.☀️

This week, new tactics were employed to get more people vaccinated after the initial rush. Ohio is seeing a major boost after announcing its $1MM lottery for vaccinations, while New York is taking a door-to-door approach to reach skeptics. Meanwhile, the crisis in Israel and Palestine continues, although as of this writing, both sides had agreed to a ceasefire, after great international pressure. Meanwhile, Leo the Lion of MGM fame might become an Amazon asset, and talks continue for the studio to be bought for a tidy sum of $9BN.

Topics we covered this week:

  • We looked at Epic Games’ lawsuit against Apple. The case heated up in court, with both sides presenting on popular themes in Big Tech, like “monopoly,” “antitrust,” and Apple’s seemingly endless power over third-party developers. Read more here.

  • E-commerce has undoubtedly boomed since the pandemic shutdown, and businesses are banking on that trend continuing. We looked at key features and offerings from several e-commerce growth-hacking startups that are increasing clicks on the “buy” button. Find out what they are.

  • Offices are reopening, and more and more employers are calling their teams home. But the tools and flexibility that collaborative software has given creative teams aren’t going anywhere. We looked at several of the companies replacing the in-person brainstorm with a virtual one. Learn more.

  • Clubhouse launched its Android app worldwide this week as users are already wondering if the "exclusive" audio-only app will get too noisy. Invitees originally flocked to listen in on top experts in all industries, but with tech giants adding similar platforms, the question is, will the invites still have their luster? Read more.
