Highlights of the Week (July 16, 2021)

The next great battle over legislation has begun, as Democrats unveiled a social and environmental bill that includes many of Biden’s campaign promises. The $3.5TN plan includes taxing imports from heavy carbon-emitting countries, lowering the Medicare eligibility age to 60, offering universal public pre-K education, and making 2-year colleges free.
