Xencor, Inc. was founded by Bassil Dahiyat Ph.D. and Stephen Mayo Ph.D in 1997 and is headquartered in Monrovia, California, the location of its sole facility. Xencor’s objective is to commercialize its protein engineering technology platform to enhance the biotechnology industry. Xencor uses this platform to develop protein drug candidates and antibodies, whose mission is to treat or ameliorate cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune disease. Thus far, Xencor has developed two protein drug candidates, XmAb® Antibody Therapeutics and XPro® Protein Therapeutics.
