Vino Volo is a privately-held post-security airport wine bar and retailer. The winebar chain offers wine tasting menus paired with small plates and upscale appetiers. In addition, the chain sells wine by the bottle for customers to take home. Customers may also get the food items to-go style. Initially starting with one store at Washington Dulles, Taste, Inc. now owns and operates 12 Vino Volo wine shops around the United States. Vino Volo management has said that it aims to have 50 stores by 2015. Founded in 2004 by Doug Tomlinson, Vino Volo is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Vino Volo offers a selection of food which it suggests to pair with different wines. These items are "small plates", but come in both small and regular sizes. Dishes include brie sandwiches, pork tacos, and Vino Volo's signature dish, the salmon crabmeat crostini. Customers eating at Vino Volo may order wine by the glass or several types of wine in a tasting flight. "Vino Volo", which comes from the words for "Wine" and "Flight" in Italian, is a reference both to the airport location and the wine flights featured on its menu.
In addition to offering wine for purchase at its restaurant locations, Vino Volo runs a wine club in which it sends club members different bottles of wine each month.
Costs
Vino Volo's post-security model means that leasing airport space is a major cost of running the business. To understand the space, Vino Volo management contracted out an Airport Consulting firm, Kathleen Boyd.
