SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, formerly Busch Entertainment Corporation, is a privately-held, second-largest theme park operator in the United States with approximately 25 million annual visitors. Operating 10 major theme parks in 5 states, SeaWorld owns and operates most widely recognized and respected family travel brands including Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Sesame Place, Adventure Island, and Discovery Cove. After temporarily going public in 1968 a mere four years after its founding, SeaWorld was bought by the Anheuser Busch Companies, Inc. and became its entertainment subsidiary. After Anheuser Busch was bought by the Belgian InBev, the SeaWorld division was bought by the Blackstone Group L.P. in October 2009 for $2.9 billion.

Detailed Business Description: SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc.
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment operates through its many amusement parks. Formerly the Busch Entertainment Corporation under Anheuser Busch, SeaWorld was formed as the result of a merger between two large family entertainment companies: Busch Gardens and SeaWorld. Throughout the years the company has managed to expand through acquisitions and organic growth. It must be noted that due to the seasonal nature of SeaWorld's business, the total number of employees (counting temporary employees) fluctuates greatly with respect to the heavy increase in summer months.
The Busch Dynasty
First and foremost, the Anheuser-Busch Companies left their footprint by brewing beer. Eberhard Anheuser and Adolphus Busch, his son-in-law, started the company in 1852.
