RepairPal allows consumers unfamiliar with the automotive care to instantly compare repair costs, which are collected from auto shops, mechanics, and users across the US. RepairPal is not owned, in whole or in part, by any automobile manufacturer, dealership, auto parts provider, or auto repair facility. RepairPal officially launched June 2008.
RepairPal features a Top Shop program, which allows customers to search for reliable auto repair shops. Before a shop can enter the program, RepairPal puts them through a rigorous approval process, which includes visiting some shops in person. RepairPal also has a RepairPrice Estimator that can calculate a car repair price range based on cost of labor, parts for certain repair, and zip code location of the repair shop. All of RepairPal’s Top Shops guarantee to honor the RepairPrice Estimator price range.
