Q9 Networks is a privately held company that operates outsourced data center infrastructure for organizations with mission-critical IT operations. Q9 operates 11 data centers and a network that is backed by SLA, a technology that guarantees 100 percent network and power availability. Q9 services include: co-location, bandwidth, dedicated servers, firewalls, load balancing, virtual private networking (VPN) and back-up/restore. Q9 Networks was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

1998 - First Myna co-location facility opens in downtown Toronto
2000 - Name changed to Q9 Networks
2000 - Q9 raises $26.5M in private equity. The first Q9 data center opens in downtown Toronto
2001 - Q9 raises an additional $88.5M in second round of private equity financing
2002 - Q9 opens its first data center in downtown Calgary and acquires a 160k sq foot data center in Brampton
2004 - Q9 goes public in an I PO on the TSX that raises a further $32M for the company. Q9 signs a five year contract with an anchor tenant at its Brampton data center
2005 - Q9 announces a third Toronto data center
2006 - Plans to invest $25M in a second Calgary data center and $20M to expand the Brampton data center. IBM Canada signs on as a reseller of Q9 services
2007 Q9 opens its third data center in downtown Toronto and its second data center in Calgary
