The Mozilla Foundation created the Mozilla Corporation as a commercial entity to handle revenue-related operations of the Mozilla project since the Mozilla Foundation faced several revenue restrictions due to its nonprofit status. The Mozilla Foundation controls the activities of the Mozilla Corporation, and any profits made by Mozilla Corporation will be invested back into the Mozilla project, whose motive is to to keep the Internet open and available to everyone.
