Detailed Business Description: Mimeo.com, Inc.
Company Overview:
Mimeo is a provider of diversified online printing services aimed towards business professionals. A venture-backed privately-held firm, Mimeo was founded in 1998 when David Uyttendaele and John Delbridge developed and implemented a new business model called PaaS (Printing as a Service). The old model typically had someone deliver a master copy of what needs to be printed to a local copy shop where it would be printed, bound, and delivered to the business. Mimeo’s web-based system cuts down the turnaround time by providing a web-based client where the user would upload, design, and order their custom print products. By providing a streamlined and methodical to the online printing process, Mimeo has maintained a high level of quality control for its services which has helped fuel its growth within the past decade.
