LineaGen is a privately-held biotechnology research company specializing in early diagnosis and intervention of complex diseases. The company concentrates on three main areas — autism, multiple sclerosis (MS) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Founded by the state of Utah as a partnership with the University of Utah, the company has completed extensive research into the Utah Population Database (UPDB), research which has yielded strong proprietary biomarker data. Using proprietary research and findings, LineaGen is commercializing diagnostic tools and services to hospitals, clinical physicians and patients. The company was founded in 2002 and launched its commercial services in September 2010.
