L.A. Fitness International, LLC is a privately-held fitness club chain. Each club offers a variety of exercise equipment, a swimming pool, spa and sauna, basketball and racquetball courts, and group exercise classes. Select fitness clubs include a babysitting service called "Kids Klub." Many locations also operate juice bars. L.A. Fitness provides fitness program packages for individuals as well as companies.
Revenues
The bulk of L.A. Fitness's revenues come from membership fees collected by its fitness clubs. L.A. fitness also collects funding from by private equity firms and actively acquires other health club chains.
Costs
There are high operating costs associated with operating fitness clubs. For instance, these operating costs include staffing fees, utility bills, maintenance fees, equipment purchases, and insurance costs.
