Incipio Technologies generates revenue through the sale of its cases and other electronic device accessories to retailers, as well as directly to consumers through the company's website. With the recent acquisition of Tavik Industries, a small portion of Incipio's revenues will come from clothing sales. Tavik's revenues are currently estimated to be $1 million or less. At the time of its May 2012 acquistion, Tavik sold its clothing to clothing retailers, although the firm was developing a consumer-facing e-commerce platform for its website, as well.
Expenses
Unlike many consumer electronics and electronic accessories companies, Incipio manufactures its own products. The private mobile accessories designer operates manufacturing facilities abroad to limit its manufacturing expense, which makes up most of the company's cost of goods sold.
