Ownership Structure
Since its founding and throughout several corporate changes, Florida's Natural has remained a cooperative. 13 grower organizations belong to this co-op and jointly own Florida's Natural's parent company, Citrus World, Inc.
Market Share
Florida's Natural maintains a top position among orange growers, and in 2011, the company's approximate $615 million in revenue represented a 20.1% share of the entire orange juice product market.
Industry Challenges
The orange juice market is significantly affected by several macroeconomic factors, including the weather, bugs/pesticides, and immigration legislation. In late 2011, the outlook for the former two issues looked bleak. In early 2012, the price of orange juice reached a record high ($2.13/lb).
