1On July 24, 2008, Coca Cola Co. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Honest Tea Inc. to begin distributing Honest Tea and Honest Ade in select pilot markets in the western United States beginning in September 2008. Coca-Cola may elect to buy, and the remaining Honest Tea shareholders may elect to sell to Coca-Cola, the outstanding interest not currently owned by Coca-Cola in the future. 2Coca-Cola Company acquired a minority stake in Music Dealers, LLC. As a part of the deal, the companies signed a three year nonexclusive agreement in which Coca-Cola would incorporate music from Music Dealers artists into its marketing campaigns. Coca-Cola receives access to unsigned artist that put their music on the Music Dealers website. If the artists license music with Coca-Cola, the artists retain worldwide publishing rights and receive all publishing royalties. 3Middle East beverage company Aujan Industries has agreed to sell a 50 percent stake in the company, along with a 49 percent of its bottling and distribution company, to Coca-Cola Co. in a $980 million transaction. Saudi Arabia-based Aujan is known for drink brands that include Rani and Barbican. The deal is part of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola's $5 billion expansion in the Middle East and North Africa region over the next 10 years.
