Blue Jeans Network (BJN) generates the majority of its revenue on a subscription basis. The subscription allows the customer access to Blue Jeans Network's cloud-based service. The service allows users who use different types of videoconference technology to interact with each other. BJN charges clients a monthly fee according to the number of minutes they use and the number of devices enabled at the client's site.
BJN is also trying to make a move into the MCU market or multipoint control units. The company believes its current service can eventually become an alternative to and replace MCUs. BJN markets its current service as an MCU replacement and it hopes to increase revenue through the licensing of virtual ports.
Customers
Although Blue Jeans Network has a "personal" pricing plan, most revenues come from corporate subscription clients, which offers bulk discounts.
