Atterocor Inc.

Founded in 2012, Atterocor is a privately-held biopharma company, with its lead drug in development for treating adrenal cancer, a relatively rare disease with a small potential patient population. However, Atterocor's proposed treatment offers this small patient population an alternative to the few and ineffective treatment options available for adrenal cancer. Atterocor was founded by Julia Owens and Raili Kerppola, with Dr. Gary Hammer, an adrenal cancer expert who headed the center for organogenesis at the University of Michigan, joining Owens and Kerppola as a founder and the startup's chief scientist after Atterocor raised venture capital funding in August 2012.
